The activities will promote well-being and connection by providing opportunities for social engagement, physical activity, and intellectual stimulation. Examples include engaging in various projects, participating in educational seminars and workshops, planning fun outings and social events, and more.
Brings cognitive stimulation to keep the mind sharp and reduce the risk of cognitive decline. Examples include reading books of choice and discussing relevant information with the group, attending book signings, and more.
This club is purposed to nurture friendships, share cooking stories, and explore new culinary horizons together. Examples include learning new recipes, sharing your favorite meals, discussing cooking tips and calories, introducing the group to exploring new foods, implementing cooking themes for gatherings, and more.
To provide a supportive environment for older adults to improve their overall health and wellness. Examples include sharing health tips, encouraging brain, health and heart healthy food challenges, being a label lover, learning to eat mindfully, choosing healthier foods, walking with a friend, and more.
To provide social, emotional, and spiritual support to individuals who attend and build up the community of believers through prayer with a focus of seeking God through Jesus Christ for His power, His direction, and His will to be released through our prayers. (1 Thessalonians 5:11) Examples include leading the group in prayer, praying for those in need, encouraging Christian fellowship, and more.
To help members connect with each other who share their love of travel and build stronger connections within the community. Examples include assisting with planning and organizing local affordable trips, exchanging ideas for travel, obtaining discounts, arranging appropriate modes of travel, recommending local attractions and destinations, and more.
To help build the community by encouraging members to form bonds and increase social interactions. Examples include visits to nursing homes, hospitals, and the homes of isolated or homebound individuals and more. Writing letters or making phone calls can be done in lieu of visits.
